No one likes stress and not many people deal with it very well. For a long time I struggled with stressful situations; and being from a Finance and Property Development background, I have had my fair share of stressful situations. However it got to a point, particularly after the birth of my son, that I realised that it was time to take a firmer grasp of it.
I had been meditating on-and-off for years before that, however I had never really “broken through”. What I realised is that most people require some form of catalyst in life that results in them gravitating towards meditation. I had my catalyst and it propelled me head on into mindfulness – it wasn’t necessarily just for me, it was for the benefit of the loved ones around me.
WHY I WANT TO HELP
After seeing the effects that the modern world is having on us, I’ve tried to find the calm, the quiet place amongst all the busyness that infiltrates our lives. After finding mindfulness, I realised if it could have such a profound impact on my life (and many other before me), it can do the same for countless others out there. Maybe that includes you?
THE PURPOSE OF THIS SITE
What is meditation? Where can I learn to meditate? How do I meditate? Will meditation help me? These are some of many, many questions that I’m hoping that I can answer. Even in the field of mindfulness, there’s an inundation of information, data, sites, blogs and videos.
I’m hoping as this site evolves, it will become the go-to place for those starting out on their mindfulness journey. And I’m hoping I can make it easier for you to begin.
